Internal Whispers

When did you last find yourself at a crossroad in life?

One where your intuition is whispering to you in a small (or not so small) way?

Sometimes those internal cues lead you to Google and maybe that’s how you came by this post — and if so, I’m so glad you’re here, Welcome.

Or;

Perhaps you are following up on a mention from a friend about a woman who does wellness coaching. What made you get on that topic?

Or

Maybe a doctor got you thinking about a new health habit. What drove that suggestion?

Or

Possibly it just felt like the right thing to do right now. What is driving that feeling?

Something must have whispered to you.

Those whispers – or sometimes shouts! – are important. They are our emotional messengers waving their invisible arms at us saying – “Hey, pay attention to this – it’s important!”  You know you ought to listen (you’ll feel better if you listen while it’s still a whisper). So, what are your messengers saying to you in this moment?

It is easy to ignore or miss the whispers amidst the cacophony of life. It would be so much easier if you could muffle the noise to hear those internal cures more clearly. I’m here to help you hear;  hear your own body – your limbic system – trying to communicate with you in the only way it can – through your senses and emotions.  Your gut.  That gut feel is real!

Once you listen, you can think, plan and, if you are ready, take action.  Or at least think about what that action might look like.  What happens if you take action?  What happens if you don’t?  Which feels right?

ABOUT COACHING

Imagine a safe place. A place free of judgement where you can get messy and feel (I mean really Feel) you are accepted as you are and where you are. Where this is no “should”and no pressure. Your free space.  Your freedom space.  Your space to make happen what YOU want to happen.

I’m not going to tell you what to do. You will need to figure that out.  No worries – that’s where I come in – walking with you and supporting you as you peel back your layers like an onion, discovering the flavor and texture of each one and learning about your strengths, your values, and your motivations in the process.  Parts of you that you may have overlooked or forgotten about in the busy-ness of everyday living.  You will re-discover those unique characteristics and learn how to use them to reach your personal vision of your best self.  It’s all about you – wonderful, capable YOU!

ABOUT KLIPSPRINGERS

As you may have seen in the origin story, klipspringers first drew my attention because they are one of the highest jumping animals in the world while coming in at a tiny 2 feet tall and 22 – 40 pounds - small yet mighty powerhouses! These natives of South and East Africa live on and amongst kopje formations where they can nimbly jump five (5) times their height – that’s 10-12 feet! - straight up in the air and land securely on the rocky terrain to evade prey and graze. They have learned to thrive in a challenging environment rife with predators and desert conditions. Pretty impressive. Not to mention they are just so *cute* !

They use their strengths of agility and watchfulness to climb up literal mountains every day, ready in an instant to tuck quietly into a safe nook or quickly outrun or leap away from from a would-be predator and certain danger.  Just like a klipspringer, you too need to employ discernment and have well-honed strengths at the ready when adversity strikes.  Sometimes you leap, sometimes you tuck.

METAPHOR

I saw in the klipspringer a wonderful metaphor as you embark on your journey to better health and well-being.  You’ll use your natural strengths and the talents you’ve acquired along life’s journey to help successfully navigate your chosen path, leaping and weaving as needed along the way, until you reach the top of your personal kopje, exhale, and enjoy the view.

I’m here to help you find your inner klipspringer —and jumpstart your path toward your best self. Ready to start the conversation about your well-being? Me too. Let’s take the first step together.
